Professional Background:

What part of your professional background are you most excited to bring to R CITY?

I have spent my career in sales and have always loved the art of connecting with people. I am eager to meet as many friends of R CITY as possible, learning the "why" behind their support and exploring how we can cultivate even deeper partnerships.

Ministry Connection:

As a long-time member and Elder at River City Community Church, what excites you about the partnership with R CITY?

I’ve been part of River City since 2015, the same year R CITY began, and I’ve had a front-row seat to its remarkable growth and impact in extending Christ’s love. I was originally drawn to the church because of its commitment to neighborhood development; our partnership with R CITY truly manifests God’s calling to build His Kingdom on earth.

Mission Alignment:

As a friend of R CITY since its founding, what inspired you to take on the role of Director of Finance and Funding?

I reached a point where I was looking to move on from corporate America and praying for a way to leverage my skills more meaningfully. I am so grateful for the timing of Beth’s transition as it opened a door for me to meld my professional experience with my passion for Biblical justice.

Personal Interests:

Beyond your professional work, what are some of your favorite ways to spend time in Chicago?

I grew up on Chicago’s Northside and am a proud Chicago Public Schools alum (Go Lane Go!). I love the incredible diversity of our city’s people and food, and I’m always exploring neighborhoods for "hole-in-the-wall" ethnic restaurants. Living by the lake, I also take every advantage to walk or bike along our beautiful lakefront.

Future Vision:

What are you most excited to accomplish as we move into 2026?

I am most looking forward to working with and learning from our Executive Director, Char, and the rest of the staff. They have done such effective, hard work in the community for years on a shoestring budget. I’m also excited to dive into the world of grants to see how we can further leverage resources for the Kingdom and, most importantly, connect with our supporters to share the good news of R CITY.
