Giving Tuesday is on its way!
This day can feel like an add-on, the afterthought of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday… Who can keep track of so many named days?
But at R CITY, we see Giving Tuesday as much more.
It’s the time our Thanksgiving becomes reality, where our feet hit the pavement out of gratitude for the abundance we’ve been given. And we get everyone in on that.
At its heart, Giving Tuesday is about giving, and we’ve had an incredibly generous donor kick us off. This November and December, every donation you give will be matched dollar for dollar up to $50,000 by Gallagher Law Offices. If we make the match, we make our goal for the year, setting us up to serve wholeheartedly in 2026. Will you join us in giving?

R CITY believes whole-heartedly that everyone—even the very smallest of us—have something to give. Knowing that Chicago is about to get cold, R CITY youth and families are participating in two Giving Tuesday events.
First, we’re bringing in all our extra winter items and hosting a Winter Clothing Giveaway on Saturday, November 29th. Donations and volunteers are welcome!
Second, R CITY youth are turning their Giving Tuesday after school space into a workshop for good. Thanks to the generosity of Thrivent Action Teams, R CITY kids are packing care kits for our neighbors without housing. You can join us to volunteer—or keep us close at heart during this time. We’re praying that our youth experience the joy of giving and feel the greatness that comes when we serve.
